Hacia marcos más equtatios en aprendizaje y enseñanza del inglés: Pasando de EFL a ECL a CE

En la última década, diferentes académicos en ELT han lanzado interrogantes sobre la idea de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera (EFL) y los debates sobre las inequidades que este marco ha creado. Nuestro campo en Colombia necesita interrogar los marcos y conceptos que usamos para definir las lenguas y cómo estas definiciones nos incluyen o excluyen de las conversaciones en el campo de ELT y otros cercanos a nivel global como la forma de permanecer activos y relevantes en los próximos años. Este artículo propone una transición de Inglés como Lengua Extranjera (EFL) a Inglés como Lengua Colombiana (ECL), como paso intermedio hacia Inglés Colombiano (CE). Este texto primero problematizará EFL para luego detallar la transición y algunas consideraciones que involucran nuestras visiones del inglés y la formación de docentes.
